Well it has been quite some time since I have sat down and updated my blog. Many things have happened in this time, but I will only take time to touch on some of the more important. One of my best friends came with her daughter from Montana to visit. Samuel was honored at a school board meeting in April for a perfect score on the state math test. Samuel also received the Student of the year award from the principal. Timothy completed the 8th grade with a perfect 4.0 his entire Junior High School career. He also received several other awards for academic achievement. Sariah graduated from pre-school and is ready as ever to start kindergarten!
Timothy turned 14 and my parents came down for their yearly trip to see us. We went to San Diego and had a great time. Timothy had a few friends over on his Birthday.
We had a fun spring break with Bradley. We were able to go to the diamondbacks in Arizona and stay in Scottsdale. We had fun swimming as well as going to the McCormick railroad museum and Cracker Jax. We also ate at the most amazing mexican food restaurant, I guess it is famous because Bill Clinton ate there. We enjoy the time that Bradley takes to come and spend time with our family.
Nathan and I were asked to be Ma and Pa for a youth trek in May. It was a growing experience and very cold and hard. It was nothing compered to the pioneers journey. It was a great reflection of all our ancestors went through.
In June we were able to go see my dad for Father's day. What a blessing this was. I got to see my brothers and my sister and my nieces and nephews. We even had a frozen party at my brothers house. It was great to see my grandparents, I only see them on average once a year. Nathan and I also got to slip away for a few days kid free. We went to a wedding in Salt Lake City and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
Nathan continues to keep busy as he coached Track again after a six year break. He is also running summer soccer practice, teaching summer school, as well as his church responsibilities. Timothy is now his home teaching companion, so after my 11 years as his companion for home teaching it is now time for my retirement.
I continue to volunteer on base at the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society. I am also keeping busy with the church Relief Society as I have been the Relief Society President since March. Nathan and the kids are a great support. I had an amazing Birthday , one friend came to see me from Moab Utah, another friend took me out for a 2 hour pedicure and several friends sent cards. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends. The boys were also able to have a piano recital in June. They are both doing awesome and have an incredible piano teacher.
We are getting excited for our upcoming summer baseball trip. We will keep our blog updated along the way, so stay tuned!! I am sure there are many great things that I left out but at least I was able to update this much.
