Spring Break

This now marks the fourth Spring Break that we have been able to share with Nathan's Brother Bradley.  We were able to have a fun time.  We went to an Angel's baseball game, that ended with a walk off home run with the Angels winning.  We went to Knott's Berry farm, which was not busy at all.  We also spent some time on the beach.  The kids love spending time with their Uncle Brad and look forwards to it every year.  Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Day of Service, Youth conference and a yummy garden.

It has been quite some time since I have got on my blog.  We had the opportunity to participate in a day of service in our community in April.  We picked up trash to help clean up and beautify thee town we call home.  We were all able to participate including Nathan's brother Bradley who was visiting.  It was fun to do it with friends.  After all the work we enjoyed a nice barbecue at the park.

This month we also had the opportunity again to be parents at youth conference for our church. It was a fun filled day the included a four mile hike to a top of a mountain, glow in the dark dodge ball, kick ball, dancing, singing, eating and a testimony meeting.  Timothy was able to have two of his friends along.  We had a great day.

Another think that we have been enjoying is our garden.  It is growing at a very fast rate.  We enjoyed and incredible lettuce and carrot crop.  We are now enjoying many artichokes and Strawberries.  It is amazing how well our little desert garden continues to do.  We feel so blessed.

Student of the Month/Straight A's

I am so proud of both of my boys.  Timothy got student of the month yet again.  You can see a picture by going to his school website.  Both Timothy and Samuel had the equivalent of strait A's.  (Sam is not graded with letters yet.)  They both had awesome behavior reports as well.

Friends

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends. Over the last couple of weeks the kids have enjoyed wonderful  Easter egg hunts at different homes of friends.  The kids got to go to the carnival in town with friends as well.  Just this week I had two different friends surprise me on the same day, one brought me a yummy homemade pie and the other brought some beautiful flowers.  I think that sometimes in life it is nice to see that people care. I also had the opportunity to help with a funeral this week of an elderly gentleman from church who truly touched our lives with temple work and family history.  We had an enjoyable conference weekend.  I invited some of Timothy's friends over on Saturday afternoon to have a conference party.  It was a success and it was good to see kids with all the same standards come together and listen to counsel from the prophets.  I continue to feel blessed for my volunteer opportunity at the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society.  It is sometimes difficult when there is not much I can do to help, but on the flip side I am happy when I can and do help those in need.  I was able to go to a going away party at the officers club this week for one of the girls from work.  I've enjoyed all the friendships I have made and know I will be making many more.

Awesome Day

Today has been one of those days that was not only productive but also fun.  We started cleaning and organizing first thing in the morning.  I had gone shopping to Sam's Club the day before and got a lot of stuff that needed to be organized.  It was also a good day to clean out the closets because the D I truck was in town.  We were able to gut our closet as well as Timothy and Samuels.  I took Sam to his Hit a thon for baseball he had 38 hits out of 40 pitches, he was on fire.  We spent a bunch of time doing yard work, the weather was beautiful!!  Sariah and I made chocolate chip cookies, which she loves.  We played pitch with the boys and Timothy let Nathan and I go on a date.  I love being married to my best friend.  We had such a good time.  We came home to Sariah asleep on the couch and the boys going through our yearbooks that we found while cleaning.  They laughed that dad had no messages and mom's were full of messages.  What an Awesome day!!

Timothy's Turkey dinner!!

Just before Christmas Timothy won a Turkey for running the fastest mile in his class.  I was unable to cook it at Christmas, so Timothy suggested we wait till his birthday and have a turkey dinner with his friends.   So we did just that.  We invited all of his friends over on Sunday evening to enjoy turkey dinner.  It was just like a Thanksgiving dinner and the kids enjoyed a fun time outside having a water fight.  The weather was perfect.  I still can't believe my baby is a teenager.

Timothy with his good friend Lindsey.  She made him a poster with pictures dating clear back to first grade when they first became friends.  She didn't make it to the actual dinner because she was in all stars for basketball.  She is now as tall as me.

Here is a better shot of the poster that Lindsey made! :)
