It has been a very busy last several months as the kids continue to participate in many activities. Timothy was awarded "Rookie of the year" for cross country. He was the only freshman to break 20 minutes this year. He has been playing the piano and had a recital in December. Soccer season is now underway and he is on the JV team and has dad as a coach. He was selected to go to a conference in Boston, MA in June for his outstanding academic and leadership skills. He is really wanting to go, it costs over $2,000.00 so we are still discussing it as a family. He continues to get straight A's and is a great teenager. :)
Sam finished off a great soccer season and the team got 1st place. He then played flag football and his team got 1st place. He is also playing piano and participated in a recital in December. He won the DARE essay contest and the officer in charge came up to tell me that all the officers read it and said it was the best they had seen! He continues to participate in cub scouts as a Weblo and enjoyed his last Pinewood derby race in January. He is participating in the DEFY program with some friends from soccer. He is in the Gate program and K-kids at school. He is a great kid!
Sariah is our princess. She continues to cheer on her brothers in all they do. She wants to learn the piano like them and we are looking for a teacher. She continues to get awards at school for her positive attitude and cheerfulness. She is now no longer on an IEP at school. I never knew how emotional this would be for me. It has been a long 3 years of surgery, appointments and speech therapy, she is now at or above grade level in all categories. I know that the Lord has truly blessed our family with this miracle. She continues to participate in American Heritage girls as a pathfinder. I love the focus on God, Family and community in this program. They participated in operation Christmas Child and put together over 50 boxes. Sariah love horses and taking care of our friend Jana's horses.
