(8/3) A great family day today! We ate breakfast together, and drive about 10 miles into the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside to the famous Hershey' park. The crowds were light all day and our longest wait was on the wet ride. We did our best all day not to retrace any steps, but still covered an easy 5 miles.
The tickets were for 3 parks in one: the amusement park, the Boardwalk (water rides), and the Zoo. We did those rides in that order. All of us were impressed with the selection and quality of the rides. Interestingly, the big and fast rides were mixed in with kid rides throughout the entire park and space was used extremely well.
Food was also about half that of baseball stadiums with good variety. Sariah got her friend, Vivian, a gift and we all did the water rides together. We ended spending a very action-packed 9 hours there and then headed for dinner at S.....'s for great deals on any burger, fries and any size and typed of shakes for $4.99!
In all, this was a great family day as all 5 of us were pleased with what we did and tired out together. We only did one thing for the whole day, which was the only day like this on the trip! Very refreshing...
